There are many variants of the RQ-4 Global Hawk. This article discusses the different variants, and provides information about the RQ-4A Global Hawk, Block 20 and 30 as well as the marinised RQ-4N. Although the Global Hawk is primarily used for reconnaissance missions it can also be used for a wide range of other operations. Block 20 and 30 models are most commonly used.

RQ-4A Global Hawk

Northrop Grumman's RQ-4A Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle was developed. It provides continuous near-realtime coverage and can use imagery, signals, and target indicator sensors. The Japanese military has already ordered three unmanned aerial vehicles, the Global Hawk. It will provide intelligence collection capabilities for joint combatant forces involved in peacetime, crisis, and contingency operations around the world. The RQ-4A Global Hawk is one of the most frequently used versions of the aircraft. Its combat hours have exceeded 6,500 and it has been in operation since 2001. The aircraft is expected be deployed in Afghanistan by 2006. The RQ-4B plane is built for long-term missions and can carry up three tons. The US Air Force has taken the Global Hawk RQ-4C Block 30 out of operational service. This unmanned, unmanned aerial vehicle was originally the only U.S. designed aircraft for intercepting enemy missiles and spy airplanes. The RQ-4C Block 30 was reengineered and can now fly missions. It will carry a maximum of 3,000 pounds of internal cargo. It is the seventeenth Global Hawk flight. Block 20 was the first to fly on 1 March 2007. The development testing for this aircraft took place in 2008 as well as 2009.

In June, four Global Hawk RQ-4C Block 30 planes were produced by USAF. The first two aircraft are expected to be delivered by the USAF in 2018, with the second pair arriving in 2019. The aircraft will have the most up-to-date sensors and equipment including the Enhanced Integrated Sensor Suite. The Japanese military will have an advantage with these new capabilities, which will enable them to perform a wide variety of intelligence and combat operations. How to film yourself with a drone
