How To

Repairing A Damaged Motor Of A Drone

It is important to first identify which motor part is damaged before you can repair it. The easiest way to do this is to remove the propeller from the motor shaft. Then remove any wires and take a look at the motor's inner workings. If you notice something amiss, you'll know what part of your motor to fix.

If the motor is in good condition, you shouldn't worry. But if it looks like one of the images below, you will need to replace parts before you can fly again.

Suppose a motor has been bent up so it won't turn anymore. You will need to bend it back into shape. For this purpose, you could use a vice grip to hold the motor and bend it back into shape. Once you've done this, make sure to check the motor thoroughly for signs of wear.

Once everything looks good, you can put the propeller back on the motor shaft. Then, reattach the wires. You are now ready for your drone to fly.
